ESL has released details about the upcoming African Championship Season 2 Finals, that will be held on October 6-8 in Johannesburg, South Africa, with ~$46,000 up for grabs.
After an online-only first season of the African Championship, that was won by Bravado over Energy, the second edition of the tournament features a LAN final that will be held this weekend at the rAge expo in Johannesburg, with four teams in competition.
With the LAN finals now in play, the online portion was split into two groups: one for North and one for South Africa. Bravado and Energy finished on top of the South African group, securing LAN spots and ~$11,500 and ~$7,500 of prize money respectively, with Limitless and Viboras doing the same thing in North Africa.
The LAN finals will feature an additional ~$46,000 in prize money, with about half going to the eventual winner. ESL African Championship Season 2 Finals will play out as a single elimination bracket with a third place decider match—all of the matches will be BO3 except for the grand final, which will be played out on Sunday as a BO5.
The tournament will kick off with the following semi-final matchups on Friday, October 6th:

Bringing the action, alongside a plethora of regional talent, will be Lauren "Pansy" Scott and Jason "moses" O'Toole, with the stream being available on ESL Africa's CS:GO Twitch channel.
