Viva Algeria have booked the final spot at the WESG 2017 World Finals after defeating Hyper4mance 3-1 in the grand final of the North African qualifier.
Hyper4mance secured their place in the best-of-five final after beating Moroccan side Atlas Lions 2-0 in the last-four stage, while Viva Algeria defeated their fellow countrymen Limitless, also by a 2-0 scoreline.
It all began on the Tunisian team's first map pick, Cobblestone, where they got off to a dream start after picking up 13 rounds on the Terrorist side. With Nabil "natsu" Badi leading the way for his team, but it was all for naught as Hyper4mance eventually closed out the map, 16-11.
Next up was Inferno, which was the polar opposite of the first map as the Algerian side took a commanding 11-4 lead after another one-sided first half. And just like on Cobblestone, the team trailing still tried to get back in the game after the break, only to falter alfter hitting 11 rounds.
Viva Algeria carried their newly found momentum into the next two maps and easily closed out the serie after running out 16-5 and 16-4 victors on Cache and Train, respectively, to assure themselves of a spot at the WESG 2017 World Finals.
